This is a resurfacing project where the existing surface is planed off and relayed with a new surface course.
The planed off materials are recycled and can be used on other projects, such as for hard standing surfaces.
Once the old surface has been removed, the area is swept and a bitumous adhesive is applied to ensure the new surface adheres.
The new tarmacadam is then laid, some by machine and some by hand and a roller is then used to consolidate the new surface.
